The Backstreet Boys

Why yes, I'm on a first name basis with all five of the Backstreet Boys
The Backstreet Boys are an American vocal group consisting of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, and cousins Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson. They were formed in 1993 in Orlando, Florida, and rose to superstardom with their third studio album Millennium (1999), anchored by the worldwide hit "I Want It That Way". The Backstreet Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them the best-selling boy band of all time, and one of the world's best-selling music artists. Back-Street-Boys-All-Right!

Check Our Top Selling Designs!

Here's our top selling designs at FamousFirstNames.com. This list is updated monthly or so at our leisure (-suit Larry). This sales chart was last updated on March 9, 2024 and has all of our sales and returns since we started - our first sale was November 2, 2023! Sales are marked with the green bar, and Returns with the red bar. Returns count against sales, so it affects the rankings!
Reigning champs U2 have the #1 spot for three months running, and a commanding lead over all others as they finish their Vegas Sphere residency last month. Smashing Pumpkins is a new add this month, as is Slayer, and our first solid proof of which version of Van Halen has more fans. The Beatles have edged ahead of Rush this month (but just barely). Bad child-o-mine Guns 'n' Roses is back to neutral sales, assuming this recent sale doesn't get returned as well!

While you're here, I'll complain about the Band Management Companies who have surreptitiously copyrighted the first names of the following bands corporate sellout musicians, so they will never appear in our inventory: 98 Degrees, Beastie Boys, Blink-182, Duran Duran, Everclear, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Metallica (Nearly All Lineups!), N'SYNC, Sonic Youth, & Talking Heads.

Finally, as noted in 2025, this theme may be in serious danger! Turns out, the world has come to prefer Solo Artists, and no one performs in 'Bands' anymore (K-Pop, noted!), as the sound of entire rock bands can be conjured by one person. Who needs to share a tour bus with three other 'artists' when you can travel solo sans entourage?

We ♥ Real Fans - Show you're a true fan by wearing it!

At FamousFirstNames.com, we believe in the true fan. Not those posers, hoping to buy authenticity with Five Below shirts who can't name the bassist of the band they're wearing. No, we seek out true fans... Fans who can tell you the whole history of comings and goings with their favorite band - Van Halen from Dave to Sammy, Journey from Steve to Arnel. They'll tell you which lineup was the best, and why! These fans meticulously review and update the Wikipedia articles, skulk the band-devoted message boards, and buy the reunion tour tickets featuring that single member of the original group, the winner of the name in the weird divorce. These types of fans aren't looking to join the concert T-shirt crowd; They want to join the secret club of fans who recognize the lineup, sans last names or group identity. Diehard lifetime fans of bands like: AC/DC, Aerosmith, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode 1983-95, Dire Straits, Foo Fighters, Genesis 1967-70, Green Day, Genesis 1978-96, Guns 'n' Roses, Huey Lewis and the News, Iron Maiden, Journey, KISS, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeth, Nirvana, No Doubt, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Phish, Pink Floyd 1973-79, Pink Floyd, Prince and the Revolution, Queen, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Run-D.M.C., Rush, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Slayer, Spice Girls, Tears for Fears, The B-52's, The Backstreet Boys, The Beach Boys, The Cars, The Clash, The Cure, The Doors, The Go-Go's, The Hooters, The Kinks, The Offspring, The Police, The Ramones, The Roots 1987-91, The Smashing Pumpkins 1989-99, The Velvet Underground, The Beatles, The Monkees, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, U2, Van Halen 1974-85, Van Halen 1985-96, ZZ Top ...

We'd love to hear your suggestions!
